An account of the resource
Flyer provides the Women's Freedom League objective and the League officers, followed by a list of eight reasons for women's suffrage. The flyer also contains a membership appeal along the bottom.
The Women's Freedom League was founded in 1907 in the United Kingdom by a group of members of the Women's Social and Political Union, including Teresa Billington Greig, Charlotte Despard, and Edith How-Martyn, to campaign for women's suffrage. The League opposed the use of violence and suspended their activities during World War I. They resumed lobbying in 1916. At the time of publication, Charlotte Despard was serving as president.

Description
An account of the resource

The Lewis collection includes a diverse assortment of materials that document the expanding role and status of women from the early nineteenth century until after women won the right to vote in 1920. Correspondence, conference programs, speeches, position papers, newsletters, sheet music, congressional reports, stock certificates, printed materials, and more present a view of the individuals and organizations that fought for and against political, economic, and social rights for women.

The records primarily document the American suffrage movement; but also include material on the suffrage movement in England and several other European countries, as well as a wide range of issues including education, organized labor, social welfare, temperance, voter education, slavery, wartime experiences, and the women’s club movement.

Description
An account of the resource
Mary Ware Dennett was a suffragist, artist, and advocate of birth control and sex education. She served as the field secretary for the Massachusetts Woman Suffrage Association and the corresponding secretary of the National American Woman Suffrage Association. From 1910 until 1915 when she resigned, Dennett was responsible for NAWSA's literature department, which produced and distributed millions of pamphlets and leaflets, including this flier.
Dennett argues the men do not have to spend time justifying the many reasons why they would be qualified voters and suffragists should not valuable spend time "giving promises and proof that women will use the vote to good advantage when they get it."
