On the verso, the card is addressed to Miss Mollie Owen Salsbury, North Carolina, with a postmark from July 14, 1913. The message reads:
Hello Aunt Mollie how are you this warm Sunday evening. Talking to Mr. W. I bet. Wish I could be there for I am awful lonesome when I am at [?] an back in N.C. again. I have not been home since I left you home but I am going home the 26, hope I will get to see you all then.
