Asquith. The women were charged with 'obstructing the police in the execution of their duty'. Timothy Michael Healy, K.C., M.P. appeared for the defence. Sixteen women were tried in the Bow street police court and ten were sentenced to terms of imprisonment from one month to six weeks.
