Description
Reprint of a statement given by Bishop George F. Seymour to a reporter from the Minneapolis Times about the way in which God made women and the negative implications of an idea such as "the new woman."
"The New Woman" was a term used toward the end of the nineteenth century to describe independent, educated women who pushed the political, economic, and social boundaries.
The last page of the leaflet contains a list of the officers of the Women's Anti-suffrage Association of the Third Judicial District of the State of New York.
