This card, Number 129, is part of a set of 30 postcards, each containing a message, or aphorism, about suffrage. The cards were created by commercial publishing company, The Cargill Company, and were "endorsed and approved by the National American Woman Suffrage Association."
This card is slightly different from the other cards in the set. It contains a color illustration of Abraham Lincoln standing on a platform in front of chair, which is draped with the American flag. Along the bottom of the card is a quote by Lincoln: "I go for all sharing the privileges of the government who assist in bearing its burdens, by no means excluding women."
On the verso, the card is address to Raymond J. Breiner 1321 Allendale Avenue Akron, 1, Ohio, and postmarked January 20, 1955. The address on the other side of the card is: Lucky Corner Card Stella M. White 191 Whitney Street Auburn, Maine

Correspondence, conference programs, speeches, position papers, newsletters, sheet music, congressional reports, stock certificates, printed materials, and more present a view of the individuals and organizations that fought for and against political, economic, and social rights for women. <br /><br />The records primarily document the American suffrage movement; but also include material on the suffrage movement in England and several other European countries, as well as a wide range of issues including education, organized labor, social welfare, temperance, voter education, slavery, wartime experiences, and the women’s club movement.</p>

Pamphlet issued by the Woman Suffrage Campaign Committee of Bangor, Maine to campaign for the Maine Women's Suffrage Referendum, also known as Proposed Amendment No. 1, on September 10, 1917. The measure was defeated.
Uses the phrase "Have you heard", followed by an argument for woman suffrage. The pamphlet enumerates the countries where women had the vote, the states where women had suffrage, and the various anti-suffrage forces working to deny or curtail women's rights.
