Description
An account of the resource
Reprint of a letter to the editor of The Congregationalist newspaper. The author argues that the recent bill granting women the right to vote in Illinois opened the door to the liquor interests to organize women's groups to increase support in future municipal campaigns for the right to "self-government."
Foxcroft appeals to Massachusetts voters to prevent women from voting for this reason.

Sunday, Billy, 1862-1935.
Women--Suffrage--New Jersey
Description
An account of the resource
Flier issued in New Jersey prior to the October 1915 election where citizens voted on a suffrage referendum. At that point, no eastern state had yet adopted voting rights for women.
The flier features several short articles highlighting pro and anti opinions on women's suffrage, including including evangelist, "Billy" Sunday, former city counsel Jim Nugent, New Jersey Methodist Episcopal Church, and the liquor industry. Anti-suffragists argued that women would crack down on the liquor trade.
The measure lost 58% to 42%.
