This address by Eastman was first given on March 28th at City Hall and the Woman's Suffrage Party printed 500 pamphlets to distribute to supporters and opponents so that they might be convinced to support votes for women.

Samuel Eastman was father to Crystal Eastman, a labor lawyer, socialist and well-known suffragist who co-founded the Women's Intenrational League for Peace and Freedom and the American Civil Liberties Union.]]>
