The Empire State Campaign Committee was a coalition of organizations, including the Women's Suffrage Party, the Women's Suffrage Association, the Women's Political Union and other similar organizations, headed by Carrie Chapman Catt. It was created to bring New York women together in support of the state woman suffrage amendment. The referendum was defeated in 1915 but passed two years later in November 1917.]]>

One side contains detailed arguments for woman suffrage in Ohio. The reverse side reads "The most patriotic service you can render your country this day is to resolve to help win Votes for Women" and contains quotes from well-known public figures in favor or woman suffrage.

The slogan, "Women's Ballot for the King's Business" was originally adopted by the Women's Christian Temperance Union.]]>

This card is slightly different from the other cards in the set. It contains a color illustration of Abraham Lincoln standing on a platform in front of chair, which is draped with the American flag. Along the bottom of the card is a quote by Lincoln: "I go for all sharing the privileges of the government who assist in bearing its burdens, by no means excluding women."

On the verso, the card is address to Raymond J. Breiner 1321 Allendale Avenue Akron, 1, Ohio, and postmarked January 20, 1955. The address on the other side of the card is: Lucky Corner Card Stella M. White 191 Whitney Street Auburn, Maine]]>
