Military census card for Mrs. Alice T. Palmer, of Genesee County. The card indicates she will serve 1 day in Corfu, NY.
In an effort to demonstrate their support for the war effort and garner positive attention toward the fight for the right to vote, New York suffragists assembled volunteers for the World War I "military census" of able-bodied men in the county, a process involving surveying 320,000 residents and saving thousands of dollars for the government. While they enrolled people at military depots they distributed suffrage literature.

Leaflet : Instructions for Election Day. [Circa 1915-1917]
Elections -- Handbooks, manuals, etc.
Elections
Women election officials
Instructions for poll-watchers to help curb illegal corruption or maneuvers to change the results of the election. The flier provides detailed instructions and logistics for being a watcher.
This leaflet is specific to the woman suffrage amendment but does not provide a state or year. It is most likely this flier is from New York in either the 1915 or 1917 election when the woman suffrage amendment was voted on. It is also possible this was distributed by the Honest Ballot Association, which taught classes to women who served as poll-watchers leading up to the New York elections.

In 1933, Carrie Chapman Catt began protesting against the Nazi persecution of Jews. This letter, sent in June, and signed by Catt with a personal note, encouraged readers to gather signatures on an official protest statement. In August 1933, Catt announced the establishment of the Protest Committee of Non-Jewish Women Against the Persecution of Jews in Germany. Over 9,000 women had signed the committee’s official protest statement, which was disseminated internationally and to the League of Nations. In recognition of her efforts, Eleanor Roosevelt presented Catt with the American Hebrew Medal in November of the same year.
