In June of 1912, one month prior to this issue, Elizabeth Murray Coffin of Iowa was announced as the magazine's associate editor. In an editorial dated June 17, 1912, of the issue the month prior, McGroarty wrote, "Miss Coffin is is young and possessed of an enormous capacity for hard work.
