Retail Liquor Dealers Of America
Overall size, 10 cm.
1.25" brass rim holding celluloid with reverse metal back. Metal back also has soldered stickpin.
Background of pin is faded yellow, with black lettering circling around outer edges reading “Equal Rights and Personal Liberty To All — Illinois” with interior red trim (letters R, L, D, and A). Two purple satin ribbons are attached.
Based on similar items, pin is likely missing a yellow ribbon between the two purple ribbons which would have read "25" Annual Convention R.L.D. of A. of Ill. Belleville, Ill. Sept-21-21-04." The initials stood for Retail Liquor Dealers Of America.
A rare convention button for a group in opposition to prohibition.
Manufacturer information is on a green tag on the back of the pin.
